URC Palaniammal School was founded in the year 1993, by Thiru. U.R.Chinnusamy Gounder, the Founder President of the URC Educational Trust. It is recognized by the Directorate of Matriculation Schools, Govt. of Tamilnadu. It is managed by URC Educational Trust, a non-profit trust. It is a co-educational School, more than 24 years old. It has a student teacher ratio of 25:1 with average number of student in each class maintained between 25 and 30. The School is unique for its stress free learning in a serene environment.
Presently the School has classes from Pre K.G to XII. Located on a sprawling six acres of land in Sengodampalayam, near Erode district, the School has three storey buildings with spacious class rooms, library, laboratories, conference hall and various facilities for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities like basket ball court, volley ball court. Well maintained gardens, waterfalls and greenery all around add beauty to our School. There is a temple of Lord Vidhya Ganapathy showering His Blessings on the young aspiring minds of the students.

The School has a very competent group of teachers. It also has state of the art computer laboratories. All classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors which are fully functional having a bank of over 130 lesson modules in various subjects, exclusively prepared by the School’s faculty. There are a number of reference CD’s available.
The School has a well stocked library, with books worth in lakhs. The overall personality development of the students has always been part and parcel of the School curriculum. The School organizes career guidance sessions for enlightening the young minds about the opportunities waiting ahead. Scholarships are being awarded to eligible students through the meticulous efforts of the Trust.
Apart from the academic curriculum, students have a choice of various activity-oriented subjects like music, arts and craft. Excursions / Field trips are arranged periodically for educational and recreational purpose. Life Skill Development Programme is conducted regularly to bring out the Young URCians talent.
